LOCATION:  Lancaster, CA

DESCRIPTION:  The AR Specialist will be an independent worker who is meticulous and methodical with his/her work.   The successful candidate will be able to manage the accounts receivable functions for multiple divisions while maintaining compliance with SOX and company policy.  This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately invoice software sales, consulting projects and training workshops
• Send invoices to customers via email or on-line portal; maintain up-to-date customer contact data and login information
• Set up new customers and maintain customer files, i.e. agreements, POs, change orders, correspondence
• Apply payments/credit memos to invoices
• Maintain professional relationship with customers and resolve invoicing concerns and past due amounts
• Track collection efforts
• Prepare quarterly deferred revenue schedule
• Prepare quarterly sales report
• Create reports reflecting sales data & metrics using Excel
• Assist with SOX and financial audits by providing requested schedules and support
• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business or 5 years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Experience working with accounting systems such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics
• Familiar with contract/project accounting a plus
• Ability to research complex transactions
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines while remaining organized
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, sumifs)
• Personable and a team player; demonstrates a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills
