Corporate Human Resources Director
The highly motivated and service-minded candidate will be responsible for all HR activities of the company from recruitment & retention to compliance, benefits coordination, and interface with HR/PR personnel. Additional responsibilities include overseeing & managing H1-B immigration, multi-state employee & remote workers, and international worker issues. The ideal individual will have 5+ years of experience in human resources and the biotech/pharmaceutical science industry.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for collaboration and consultation with senior C-Suite and Division management on HR and Employee Relations (ER) aspects of operations and business strategy, including design and achievement of workforce management and workforce development objectives
- Collaborates with management on talent development initiatives, recruitment and retention programs, including inter-divisional staffing coordination; including the development of resume repository
- Coordination of international employee payroll and immigration issues including H1-B and outsourcing benefit compliance initiatives
- Company-wide compensation and benefits analysis, including consulting on all facets of a comprehensive total compensation strategy including development and implementation of cost-effective and competitive wages and benefits. Propose effective alternatives for attracting and retaining a high-performance workforce.
- The leader of personnel conflict management process throughout the business, including:
- consulting
- providing training
- conducting investigations
- according to circumstances, may provide guidance and recommendations, implementation and follow-up on conflict resolution strategies
- Responsible for all facets of the performance management processes:
- talent assessment and talent differentiation processes
- work sampling and, if necessary, discipline and termination action
- ensure all actions comply with positive leadership strategy, company policy and procedure, employment law and regulations.
- Responsible for development and implementation of new/changed policies and procedures and compliance with changing employment law and regulations
- Lead best practices, innovative solutions, and continuous improvement to subordinates and staff in the areas of:
- recruitment
- employment and labor law
- employee relations
- training
- policy development and compliance
- worker’s compensation
- EEOC compliance and reporting
- compensation
- performance management
- Responsible for investigating or supervising the investigation of legal claims in consultation with counsel
- Responsible for consulting with senior management on all facets of the development and implementation of cost-effective and competitive benefits plans, propose effective alternatives which support Company and HR strategy for attracting and retaining a high-performance workforce
- Coordination of training and education programs to assist with training compliance and advancement and group events
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree and a progressive Human Resources career within a related industry, advanced degree in a related field and/or MBA is a plus, not a requirement
- 5+ years of increasing experience & responsibility, including prior human resource leadership/management
- Ability to organize & multi-task
- Personable-consultant style and broad knowledge base

Compensation:
- Competitive base salary + merit-based bonus and options.
