PBBM PBPK Modeling Scientist

The Simulation Sciences team is looking for a Scientist II, Senior Scientist I, or Senior Scientist II (dependent on experience and qualifications.)

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and testing of software products such as GastroPlus®, MembranePlus­™, and DDDPlus™
  • Perform PBBM/PBPK modeling and simulation to address objectives with client projects, including, but not limited to, FIH predictions, formulation design/optimization, population simulations, special populations, disease state modeling, and DDI predictions
  • Write study proposals, modeling reports, white papers, and/or journal publications to clearly describe model development and verification
  • Discuss software applications with clients and prospects on the telephone or in-person
  • Attend and/or present at scientific conferences
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

This position reports to either the Director – Simulation Technologies or the Executive Director – Simulation Studies.

Education:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science, Biostatistics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of PBBM PBPK modeling applications in preclinical development and/or clinical pharmacology
  • Prior experience of working in the pharmaceutical industry or postdoctoral research related to PBPK modeling preferred
  • Experience in using GastroPlus, and Simulations Plus software products such as ADMET Predictor, MembranePlus and DDDPlus, or other commercial PBPK packages is desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate and communicate a positive attitude while interacting with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships across industry
  • Must be able to multitask and have strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Some travel required (<10%)

Job Location:

  • Lancaster, CA, though remote options will definitely be considered
