Systems Administrator

Buffalo, NY, Lancaster, CA, Paris, France, Remote Work, Research Triangle Park, NC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as the primary point of contact for user support issues
  • Management of the support queue, including prioritization of employee requests as well as escalation when necessary
  • Employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Provisioning, distribution, and management of laptops and workstations
  • Maintenance of the systems inventory database
  • Troubleshooting/diagnosing/resolving hardware, software, and access issues for employees.
  • Provide software installation support for external customers
  • Creation and maintenance of IT-related documentation for employee training as well as for departmental use
  • Management of AWS-based RDS customer training and demo environments



Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field – or – equivalent experience.

Should have expertise in:

  • Microsoft operating systems
  • Laptop/desktop troubleshooting
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Remote Desktop Services
  • Microsoft 365 usage and administration
