ACoP14 Post-Meeting Workshop
Title: Pharmacometrics Modeling & Simulations Using MonolixSuite™: From Introductory to Advanced Concepts and Applications
Instructor: Dr. Monika Twarogowska
Date: Thursday, November 9th & Friday, November 10th, 2023
Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (11/9), and 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (11/10)

Description: Whether you’re an absolute beginner in population modeling and simulations and want to start working on your projects. Or you’re an intermediate modeler and want to become more confident and use your analysis in strategic decisions. Or you want to understand better algorithms and how to work with more complex models. This course provides all you need to know to develop, diagnose and interpret models, how to efficiently use algorithms, and answer questions via simulations of new scenarios. It includes hands-on exercises to practice new knowledge. No previous knowledge of MonolixSuiteTM is required. Provides a free temporary license for the software.

What you’ll learn:

Day 1 (half-day): Modeling PK workflow in Monolix

  • The statistical knowledge to understand the population approach and interpret your results.
  • Build complete Monolix projects: from data visualization, to setting up, running, and comparing models.
  • Assess the model goodness of fit and how to improve it with various diagnostic tools.

Day 2 (full-day): Advanced PKPD modeling and simulations

  • Implement complex models and how to improve strategies for model development.
  • Monolix methods, algorithms and their options.
  • Create simulations with Simulx: compare virtual populations, calculate endpoints to answer precise questions.
  • Design clinical trials and analyze the impact of uncertainty.
