Introduction to GastroPlus®: San Diego, CA on March 6th – 8th, 2023

This 3-day hands-on course is designed to provide participants with the necessary information and skills needed to execute basic physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling and simulations, and to provide a foundational understanding of the GastroPlus® software.

This workshop is appropriate for pharmaceutical/biotechnology scientists and engineers in the areas of DMPK, ADME, preformulation/formulation development, biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, and clinical pharmacology. This is a beginner’s course. No prior experience with GastroPlus is required. However, if you are brand new to the software, we recommend attending one of our virtual, complimentary, 4-hour introductory sessions first if possible.

Advanced Pharmaceutical Development: San Diego, CA on March 9th – 10th, 2023

This 2-day hands-on course will provide a more in-depth exploration of PBPK theory, execution, and application of the software as compared to the introductory workshop.

This workshop is appropriate for scientists and engineers working in pharmaceutical development who need an in-depth understanding of how formulation affects the highly interactive processes of dissolution, precipitation, gastrointestinal transit, absorption (passive and carrier-mediated), first-pass metabolism, and pharmacokinetics.

To attend this workshop participants should be familiar with the following:

  • Running basic GastroPlus® simulations
  • Database and support file structure
  • Primary inputs for physicochemical and pharmacokinetic parameters
  • Basic physiology options for human and animal simulations

Class sizes are limited, we encourage you to register by Wednesday, March 1st.
